Hermila Cuevas, one of Dallas’s leading emerging artists, presents her first solo show at the gallery.
In addition to her rising career as a visual artist, Cuevas is currently a graduate student at Southern Methodist University, studying to receive her master of fine arts (MFA) degree. There, she hones her skill and unpacks what it means to be Chicana in the 21st century, finding strength and belonging through pre-Columbian traditions of the past.
Gallery 86 is proud to present Cuevas’s solo show, and serve as her gallery representation as she exhibits work locally, nationally, and internationally. Please join us Sept. 19th as we celebrate her contribution to the arts in Dallas and beyond.
