Las Gallinas is inspired by memories of my dad’s chickens and a small chicken run I came across at a local breakfast spot. The mesh fencing cuts across the scene, overlapping two chickens and a brightly colored coop painted like a Mondrian, blending nostalgia with playful observation through browns, violets, and yellows.
