Botes de Oro Art Show

Join us for a solo exhibition from one of Pleasant Grove’s very own, and a pioneer within the graffiti art medium, Ray Albarez. This show also doubles as a send-off for Albarez as he embarks on a months-long arts residency to Paris.

Albarez will display a series of one-time, on-site works utilizing a proprietary method to create temporary graffiti pieces on the gallery’s interior and exterior walls.

Albarez will be raffling off one of his pieces at the top of every hour at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm.

The show will include a DJ and a variety of vendors offering music, food, clothing, and jewelry - including mouthpieces/grills. There will even be free giveaways of Art Primo graffiti supplies.

There will also be graffiti workspaces for visitors to create graffiti pieces on-site using paint markers on canvas.

Admission is $20 and includes two drink tickets and a raffle ticket.

This event is brought to you in collaboration with Real Ones Around Me (ROAM).

In Light of the Climate

This art show is dedicated to our immigrant community, particularly those from Latin American countries. By and large, this community came to the United States in pursuit of economic opportunity for the betterment of their families, and they are being unjustly maligned by the current administration. In light of the climate, we cannot afford to be ambiguous or lukewarm in our stand against injustice. The Holocaust didn’t start with gas chambers. It started with mass deportations. This show is dedicated to the pursuers of the American Dream.

In addition to the art show, the evening will include:

5:15-6:15pm: A screening of episode 1 of John Leguizamo’s VOCES American Historia: The Untold History of Latinos

6:30-7:00pm: Know Your Rights Workshop

7:00-7:30pm: Protest Sign Making

7:30-8:00pm: Spoken Word for sharing immigration stories and poems
