Join us for the latest Art Quest where we parter with Aurora Dallas and Primos to bring Dallas residents to the Pleasant Grove neighborhood for an art scavenger hunt full of fun, prizes, and art.
Art Quest happens every year, and this will be Gallery 86’s third year participating. The idea behind Art Quest is to bring Dallas residents to a neighborhood that is often under-represented in the arts. Aurora commissions an artist to create an artwork and presents the artwork as a prize for the winner of the scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt itself involves deciphering clues and visiting corresponding parts of the neighborhood that lead them to the next clue and to the ultimate destination. It’s usually our biggest event of the year, and is full of fun activities, food, vendors, and music.
The commissioned artist this year is Hermila Cuevas, a long time friend of the gallery and one of our officially represented artists. She’s lived in Pleasant Grove for many years and is a sought after emerging artist.
You can find more information about the event, including how to register to participate in the scavenger hunt, on Aurora’s website here.
